become a volunteer

Our volunteers are an essential part of Hospice Mid Canterbury.  They are the heart of our organisation and without them we could not provide the service we do.  Our Hospice volunteers are highly valued and are dedicated to supporting our clients and families.

Our volunteers provide:

  • Baking and meals
  • Transportation
  • Retail
  • Companionship and outings
  • Assisting with shopping
  • Biography
  • Pamper Nails

We are always on the lookout for compassionate, reliable, fun people who would love to truly make a difference in their community via Hospice volunteering.  All volunteers are supported by our volunteer coordinator.  For further information on how to become a volunteer you can speak with a member of the hospice team or email activities@hospicemc.nz

MAKE A DONATION

Hospice Mid Canterbury receives no government funding so all donations, of any value, are greatly appreciated.
Hospice Mid Canterbury is a Registered Charity so any donations of $5 or over are tax deductible.

MAKE A BEQUEST

A bequest is a gift of money or property in a will left to a specific person or organisation. One of the most impactful ways you can support Hospice Mid Canterbury is by pledging a gift in your will. Writing a will is an act of love for those around you. It reduces emotional and financial stress on your loved ones and it can include a meaningful donation to support a cause you care about.
